MarketBridge seeks an experienced market researcher for the role of Director, Market Research to join our Insights team. About the Position

The Market Research Director will help build the primary market research side of the Insights team by helping source opportunities with both current clients and new prospects, fulfilling research projects and building a team of analysts as the division grows.  This individual will be primarily responsible in leading defined research projects using the appropriate research methodology and supporting techniques to meet a client’s defined business objective. Depending upon the selected methods, the Director is responsible for the development of the research methodology, fulfilling the execution of the analysis, selecting appropriate top-tier vendors/partners where necessary, compiling the necessary recommendations and then delivering the resulting analysis in a reporting fashion commensurate to MarketBridge’s level of excellence.  The Director will also work with the Insights market intelligence team utilizing the DigitalPulse platform and methodology to both inform and assist with the evolution of the platform, and act as an analyst on DigitalPulse work when necessary or desired. 

The Director is expected to…

  • Use quantitative and qualitative analysis to make informed conclusions on defined areas of interest to a client
  • Conduct intensive discovery sessions with clients and stakeholders to ensure the right objectives are being pursued
  • Obtain data to design surveys and perform assessments of customer feedback resulting in actionable recommendations for the client
  • Work with the DigitalPulse team to track marketing and sales trends, analyze collected data, and report on relevant insights on a frequency defined within a client engagement
  • Perform competitive market research in tandem with the market intelligence team where appropriate
  • Conduct in-depth data analyses using traditional and advanced methods
  • Author reports of findings, illustrating data graphically and translating complex findings into written text and concrete business recommendations
  • Support inbound marketing efforts by contributing to industry relevant blogs
  • Design market surveys to discover prospective customers’ preferences
  • Evaluate program methodologies, vendors and research tools on a regular basis to ensure MarketBridge is using best-in-class for these given areas.
  • Participate in all Insights team meetings, offsites and planning sessions
  • Develop social listening skillset to help act as an analyst with the DigitalPulse team and also help to inform the product roadmap
  • Work with the Insights VP to develop quarterly strategy planning sessions with clients and assist them in developing solution plans for execution.
  • Help to develop an appropriate measurement index to evaluate and grade how MarketBridge’s work actually helps clients in their business.

Background and Skills

The ideal candidate will come to MarketBridge with:

Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years market research experience in both the B2C and B2B environments
  • Proficient in performing qualitative and quantitative analysis.
  • Comfortable with selecting the most appropriate research methodology and techniques to meet a client’s needs.
  • Proficient in building, executing and analyzing research questionnaires and surveys and designing moderator guides
  • Experienced in client management and interactions to include meeting with enterprise executives and reporting to teams through both onsite and conference call formats.
  • Experienced in identifying key research opportunities, drafting proposals and presenting to prospects.

 Market Intelligence Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge in digital and social marketing
  • Competency in social, content and digital platforms with an understanding of how analytics and insights can be acquired for each
  • Understanding of the value of market/competitive intelligence to digital marketing efforts or sales enablement processes

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s level degree
  • Self-initiated passion for the arenas of digital marketing, social listening and market intelligence
